Dr. Amy Harrell is a native Texan and TAMU grad of the class of '94.  It has been her privilege to care for patients in the Brazos Valley for the past 20 years in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  One of her greatest joys has been walking with patients and their families through both joyful and difficult times. After 18 years of general Ob/gyn practice she transitioned to women's health and gynecology only. She is excited to bring these skills to patient care at Rooted Family Health.

Dr. Harrell graduated with honors from Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She is blessed to be married to Scott, who teaches at Texas A&M, and together they have  three teenage children. Their family enjoys travel, music, art, church activities and being involved in the local homeschool community.
