FAQs

As a family healthcare DPC in the Brazos Valley, we aim to be your partners in wellness. That means answering all of your questions so you can feel comfortable and assured going into your first appointment. Patients should walk into their doctor's office with confidence, not nervousness. After all, prioritizing your health and wellness is one of the best ways to enrich your life. Let's get rid of the stress surrounding healthcare and get back to feeling our best.

  • Do I Need Insurance to Become a Patient? Do I Need to be In-Network?
Everyone is "in-network" at Rooted Family Health! We operate based on an age-related, flat-rate membership. We're a part of the “no-insurance required” healthcare revolution and proudly welcome uninsured patients alongside those looking to get away from deductibles and co-pays. We will also partner with cost-sharing programs which aid in paying for catastrophic and emergent needs like surgeries or expensive procedures. Check out our pricing page for more information on member benefits.
  • Is DPC Really Worth It? How Much Can it Save Compared to Traditional Insurance?
Consider a 2-parent, single-child family in Texas. This family would typically pay an average of $1,500 per month in premiums via their insurance company. Under the DPC model, this same family would pay around $500 per month -- a third of what they were paying under the traditional healthcare model. That's a big difference and a great reason to switch to a direct primary care practice!
  • Can My Whole Family Become Members? Can We Go to the Same Clinic?
Rooted Family Health treats all patients, ages zero to one hundred! There's no need to spend extra time driving to different clinics, every member of the family is welcomed at our practice. Family memberships are subject to discounts as well. Check out our pricing page for more information.
  • Can Businesses Utilize Membership Perks?
With the rising cost of insurance, it's no surprise that many small businesses struggle to provide quality benefits for their team. Rooted Family Health offers an alternative to expensive, low-quality corporate healthcare plans. Through our business pricing model, members can enjoy the benefit of on-site wellness resources alongside a fantastic primary care practice for their employees.
  • How Quickly Can I be Seen After Becoming a Member?
There's no prohibitive wait list at Rooted Family Healthcare. New patients can be seen with same-day and next-day appointments. We'll work around your schedule and preferences to find the best time to see you. In addition, members have access to follow-up resources with Dr. Imperial such as text, calls, and emails. Dr. Imperial prioritizes direct communication and builds a strong rapport with every patient that walks through our doors at our DPC in the Brazos Valley.
  • Do You Offer Pediatric Healthcare?
Yes, Dr. Imperial specializes in comprehensive family care. As such, we serve all patients from infants to adults. Our membership model is tailored accordingly to ensure each member of your family is getting exactly what they need at their life stage.
  • Can I or My Family Be Seen for Urgent Needs?
As a family physician, Dr. Imperial specializes in acute illness, injuries, and urgent care alongside comprehensive wellness visits. We have the capability of performing minor procedures in the clinic, such as laceration repairs and wound care. With our unique direct primary care model, we're able to ensure patients are seen same-day or next-day, dependent on needs. We're here when you need us most, with open communication and availability.
  • Does Your Clinic Do Sports Physicals?
Our direct primary care practice offers sport physicals as well as ongoing care for young athletes. From injuries to preventative care, Dr. Imperial's holistic approach is perfect for active lifestyles. Rather than a quick visit, we work with you to ensure you have a comprehensive wellness regimen on your side to fuel your daily activities and help you and your family achieve their goals.
  • Are Home Visits Available with Rooted Family Health?
The best thing about switching to a direct primary care practice is that you won't lose anything in terms of the quality and services offered. Dr. Imperial offers home visits as a membership add-on and is happy to meet patients where they are. We know that extenuating circumstances happen that make an office visit difficult. We’re here to support you in your need and can move the visit to your home or provide home technology to your hands that allow us to perform an examination remotely.
  • What are the "Wellness Workshops"?
These workshops are times for patients to gather and hear from and ask questions to local healthcare professionals about different topics. It is also a great time to meet members of the community who may be on a similar health and wellness journey to your own. These workshops will be offered every couple of weeks. Keep an eye on the announcements for upcoming topics and dates.
